WolrdStar Awards

Nextek Limited has won a WorldStar Award.

WorldStars are presented only to those packages which, having already won recognition in a national competition, are compared by an expert panel of judges to similar packages from around the world. Awards are based on the judges' consensus that a package is superior in its own right, and better in its class in execution or innovation by comparison.

The award was won for the HDPE Milk Bottles Recycling Project. This project was run in conjuction with WRAP, Dairy Crest, Nampak and Marks & Spencer.

EDIE Award for Environmental Excellence

Marks and Spencer sponsored Plastics Milk Bottle Recycling Project managed by Nextek Limited wins the prestigious EDIE Award for Environmental Excellence for projects in Waste and Recycling at London’s Natural History Museum.

 

Nextek Limited has received the prestigious EDIE Award for Environmental Excellence for consultancy projects in Waste and Recycling at London’s Natural History Museum. The award was for “doing the un-doable”.

The world first technology was led by Nextek’s Managing Director Edward Kosior in collaboration with Nampak, Dairy Crest, Marks & Spencer and WRAP.

Starpack Packaging Awards 2007

The Starpack Packaging Awards for this year were held on May 15.

Amongst the 69 finalists who fought for UK's most prestigious packaging award, Nextek was successful in winning two awards for Technical Innovation.

The awards won were one Gold and one Bronze and are listed below.

 

Gold - 'Best Use of Innovative Materials'- Dairy Crest’s Recycled HDPE Milk Bottles.

The organisations involved with this project were Nextek, WRAP, Dairy Crest, Nampak and Marks & Spencer.

The Plastics Industry Awards 2007

' Finalists in the Best Environmental or Energy Efficiency Programme Award '

WRAP, Dairy Crest, Nampak, Fraunhofer Institute, Marks & Spencer and Nextek developed a food grade recycling process for HDPE that would allow the recycled material to be used again in milk bottles. This innovation was rewarded with a Finalists recognition in The Plastics Industry Awards.

IGD Food Industry Awards

Finalists of the ' The Tetra Pak Environmental Sustainability Award '

Nextek, working in partnership with Dairy Crest, WRAP, Marks & Spencer, Nampak, and the Fraunhofer Institute, helped create the world's first, food safe, recycled plastic milk bottle.
