Position: Associate Circular Economy Consultant

Qualifications: BSc (Chemical Engineering), CEnv, MIEMA, AMIChemE

Business Expertise: Circular economy, resource efficiency, packaging development and compliance, project management.

With over 30 years’ experience in manufacturing industry and environmental consultancy, Chris is one of the UK’s leading circular economy consultants. He advises private and public sector clients on circular economy, resource efficiency and waste minimisation at both strategic and operational levels, with specific expertise in packaging development, optimisation and compliance. For example Chris directed the team which developed the London Circular Economy Route Map for the London Mayor, which includes plastics as one of its five focus areas. He has helped many businesses to develop and implement disruptive circular economy business models.

After graduating as a chemical engineer, Chris joined Procter and Gamble and worked in process then packaging development – designing and launching bag-in-box and refill pouches for liquid detergents including Ariel. He moved into environmental consultancy, specialising in waste and resources, and working for two leading UK environmental consultancies. He has recently set up the circular economy consultancy Circulonomy Ltd. Prior to this Chris was Technical Director and Circular Economy Knowledge Leader for Ricardo Energy & Environment.
