The Conservative Party has vowed to “lead the world in tackling plastics pollution” following the launch of its manifesto.

Its environmental plans, ahead of next month’s General Election, outline the party’s desire to tackle plastics pollution both in the UK and abroad. It reaffirmed its commitment to introduce a new levy designed to “increase the proportion of recyclable plastics in packaging”.
